NUII P.E.A.C.E Project Update

A total of six solar powered water pumps have been installed so far and are making a huge difference to the local community and elephants in Namibia.

One village had a very old and leaky diesel pump which broke regularly. At certain times of year, the elephants are drinking here every night. The local people don't mind living with the elephants as long as they don't drink all the water they need for their families and their livestock.

The farmers here are very glad to receive their new solar pump, especially as the elephants are currently in the village right now.
